Hand distressed Engineered flooring

Hand distressed Engineered flooring

European hand custom distressed, oiled finish. project in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

This flooring was laid on top of a concrete floor by being stuck down with glue, which has underfloor heating.

Great project, looked stunning in the room, 60 sq m, very spacious.

Our oak wood is sourced mainly from countries where the weather is  mostly cold. As a result of the cold weather the trees are extremely slow growing and thus incredibly tough. Our European oak has a much more consistent neutral tone than other types of oak and therefore when oiled it retains the consistent finish. The engineered wood flooring has a unique construction comprising of three layers. The base, a 15 mm compressed quality Russian ply which give strong protection to the 6 mm top layer European oak. The base and compressed ply protects the 6 mm European oak top layer from cupping and wrapping due to varying room temperatures and moist.
